First Afurada Living Lab Project Monitoring Committee

The first Monitoring Committee of the Afurada Living Lab project was held on 28 October at the Afurada Heritage Interpretation Centre (CIPA) in Vila Nova de Gaia.

The main objectives of this first meeting were to present the project, to make known the entities involved and the respective activities and operations, as well as to discuss the next steps of its implementation.

The Monitoring Committee is a structure that, besides the members of the consortium, also includes a number of relevant entities in the thematic areas of the project, namely ADENE, Águas de Gaia, APA, CCDR-Norte, Docapesca, Douro Marina, Energaia, FEUP, Canidelo Parish Council, Santa Marinha and São Pedro da Afurada Parish Council, the University of Aveiro and the General Secretary for the Environment and Climate Action.

The Afurada Living Lab corresponds to a strategic and technological partnership involving a diverse range of entities such as the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, CEDES, GAIURB, CEiiA, Ubiwhere, the DST Group, Watt-Is and NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology).

Funded by the “Environment, Climate Change and Low Carbon Economy” Programme of the EEAGrants, the consortium will implement, over a period of 3 years, different actions and activities focused on the thematic areas of “Sustainable Urban Mobility”, “Circular Economy and Environment” and “Buildings and Energy”.
